Pillow Care

We do not suggest you wash the pillow insert as it changes the density of the product. Your pillow, much like an article of clothing you wear every day for 7-8 hours a day, should last two to three years depending on how you take care of it. Washing your pillow protector and pillowcase on a weekly basis can help extend the life of your pillow and keep it fresh, fluffy and supportive. By doing this, you should not need to wash your pillow insert. See below for specific care instructions for down and down alternative products.

If you feel the need to clean the pillow, we strongly suggest taking it to a professional dry cleaner that has experience caring for down products, but only if you must. Note that washing the pillow will change the density and the feel overall.

Again, if you keep the pillow protector and the pillow case clean, you will not have to wash the pillow insert.

Do NOT wash a down product at home. You will ruin it!

You may take down alternative products to a professional dry cleaner or wash them at home.

We suggest washing your down alternative pillow in warm water (alone in a non-agitator machine) and then tumble dry on low heat (again, alone). Keep in mind, the drying process may take all day! We strongly suggest taking it to a commercial dry cleaner that is comfortable cleaning down alternative products if you feel necessary.

Pillow Protector

It is important to take care of your pristine, sterilized down pillows, so be sure and wash the outside zippered protector and your pillow case (as often as your sheets) to remove any body oils and dirt that may accumulate. Machine wash warm to cold, gentle cycle. Do not mix colors, do not bleach or use fabric softener. If you need to spot clean, we recommend Oxyclean. Tumble dry low heat, remove quickly. Warm iron, if desired. May be professionally cleaned.

Keeping the protector and case clean will prolong the life of your pillow as well as keep it fresh, fluffy and supportive.
