21 HOT HEAD TRIP
The Pillow Bar: What better way to top that new megabucks mattress than with a custom Hungarian-down pillow - filled to your exact hard-soft preference, scented with an aromatic sachet and encased in silky Egyptian cotton embroidered with your name? The Pillow Bar takes only about 10 minutes to make pillow dreams reality. Dallasite Merrimac Dillon (who also co-founded the Curtain Exchange) spent more than a year developing the 8-foot mechanized kiosk, which reminds us of nothing so much as a giant popcorn machine, kernels replaced by a swirling storm of down. Six pillow options (each priced flat by size) include travel, standard, queen, king, Euro or dog bed, and the side sleepers pillow, boomerang-shaped Dr. Mary Side Sleeper, designed by Highland Park sports chiropractor Mary Collings. A standard pillow is $185.
